It is ridiculous how many manufacturers went with rear timing chain in last few years. I6 would be particular nightmare. BMW did on theirs, but I am giving them benefit of doubt bcs. none make I6 like they do. I think argument is that strain on a chain and components is less in the back. But, as owners of Audi S4 B7 models will testify, if done wrong, it is an expensive thing.

Probably a 6.4L, People like to dog the 6.0L.....But the 6.4L is leaps & bounds more of a POS!

I actually like the 6.0L Powerstroke......Once modified & repaired correctly!

Ford used New Venture/New Process or Borg Warner transfer cases like GM & Chrysler trucks of the era, Unless it was underfilled....Can't really blame Ford for that. Of coarse the same could be said for the Navistar engines they used.
