New Glock 43

I traded my 1911 Commander Light Weight even up on a Glock 19. It was still on order. Went to the gun shop today and they just got a 43 in. Done. I realize the 19 is more expensive but I had regrets about getting the bc of the larger size. So it worked out.

Now I have the 9mm Shield and the 43. Much better trigger on the 43.

That's an expensive trade. Ouch. Did they at least give you store credit for the difference? Glock 43 is typically $449 while Glock 19 is typically $499.

The Shield and G43 kinda fill the same purpose. I would find which one you like most, sell the other one, and still get a Glock 19. Glock 19 is a world class pistol. I dont/cant carry a 19 do to my location and method of dress usually, but I have been carrying the 19 now that I can wear proper concealment attire.

I know what you are saying. I need to get rid of guns at my age. So it was a matter of getting rid of something I don't want for something I do. This gun shop has treated me real well. I got a LCP for 199, a shield for 379.

Its a local small business. They go out of their way and sell at 14% over their cost. I want to support them. I sold a 3913 to a friend to make room for the Shield. Frankly I regret getting the Shield. I intend to sell it to my Bro-in-law. (He didn't want the Commander...lol).

In the next couple of years I will have only the LCP and the Glock.

I'm glad I bought a G43. Great little gun. All I need is the 17L to complete the collection.

Did you happen to have a chance to hold the G26? I have a 19 now, and am debating the 26 vs 43, I love the magazine compatibility of the double stack, but the size of the single is nice.

I actually really liked how the G26 felt in my hand. I just didn't like that my pinky hung off the end and it didn't on the Shield. That didn't feel comfortable to me. I know you can get an extended magazine to cover the spot but when it comes to concealing I'd also like the narrower firearm.

I'm yet to buy one of these but I will soon enough.

No I didn't. The 43 is perfect for my hands. Its almost identical to the Shield which is also perfect for me.

I have both the G19 and the G43 and love both of them. For some reason my pinky hanging off the end of the G43 doesn't bother me but when I handled a G26, I hated the fact that my pinky hung off the bottom of the magazine. Must be the slimmer profile of the G43 that makes the difference.
