I wonder who the leading competitor is? That would put it in the in the 13gram level of holding capacity. While the holding capacity may vary, the most frequently seen number (by me) is 8gms. The looser the filter, the longer that 8gms takes to accumulate. I suspect that 8gms is enough for a very long OCI (assuming you're a candidate for a long OCI).

The single pass test is not widely accepted.

That all said, it looks like a fine filter from a construction standpoint. I don't think it finely filters.

Just put one of these on my truck after being a huge advocate of Amsoil and Wix and Mobil 1, etc.....I'll run it for 5k miles, remove it, and cut it open. Construction and performance sem to be on par with the other leading filters....we'll see, and for the record, I have always been the guy who HATES Fram with a vengeance. But....maybe they have finally got with the program. At $8, can't go wrong really. Only th Wix is comparable in price, but the construction isn't even as good as the Extended Guard. Go figure........
