Anyone seen the new design for the Napa ProSelect yet.
I've yet to handle one, but have noticed that the base plate is different than the normal Wix/Napa Gold in some applications.
Like for example a 2000 Accord. The Wix/NG has 8 holes evenly spaced around the base plate for oil flow. The ProSelect has 6 holes grouped by pairs in a triangular shape. It looks weird.

Do you think that they are made by another manufacturer ?
I've never seen a base plate design like this before.
The other Weird thing is that other filter models have the normal base plate. For example a filter for a 2003 Corolla looks like any other Wix/NG. Here is a link to this filter:

Thanks,
Justin

Have not seen one yet. Lets cut one open! I'm sure if they are switching manufactures or wix is doing something different, the baseplate design will faze in once inventory starts cycling.

Let me know if anyone wants to volunteer to cut one open. I'll donate the 3 bucks.

I'll cut one open when I see the new style on the shelf...being in Iowa, might be a while though.

Be nice if somebody started selling a low cost filter with a thread end bypass. I haven't found any Ecores with a 20 mm thread and a bypass.

I don't know specifically about the 20mm threaded filters, but I thought all ecores were thread-end bypass via the dual function ADBV/bypass?
