NEW CV JOINTS/VIBRATION

Just had both CV joints replaced in my 1995 Maxima for the first time with 160,000 miles and now there's a vibration in the driveline when accelerating through the gears at certain RPM's, sort of like an oscillation felt through the steering wheel, gas pedal and shift lever (manual transmission). The new half-shafts axles are NAPA. Is this normal and will it go away? Any thoughts on what it might be?

It will not go away. Were the half shafts new or rebuilt? If rebuilt you could have gotten a bad one. I would first double check the part numbers to asure you got the correct parts.

Agree eith Eddie. Inner CV jounts are the usual cause of this symptom. Check to see if the joints/shaft are seated properly in the transaxle. Sometimes a bad front engine mount will cause this as well due to the driveline angles going out of spec as the engine/trans lifts up during accel.
