Does GM recommend 10W-30 for the Vette? I thought that they had moved to a 5w30 only recommendation. I am not arguing about what's best. I am asking "what does GM recommend?" (I use GCgreen in my 2005 GM and it is NOT recommended)

I've got a copy of the 2007 Corvette owner's manual (in PDF format) and they make no mention whatsoever of 10w30 in there at all, only 5w30.
Under the heading "what kind of oil to use" it lists two things that it must be, one is GM4718M, two is that it must be 5w30. It goes on to say "do not use other viscosity oils, such as SAE 20w50"
The little chart on the side which shows the temperature range only shows 5w30 listed there as well, with no other choices.
Patman; they call for a 5w30 EVEN in the LS7?? I guess GM makes no distinction (even for higher ambients) due to the dry sump & (high efficiency) oil cooler on the Z06??

In that case, I'd go the more warranty-cautious route and stick with an oil that meets the 5W spec; so either a 5w30 or 0W-30 with 4718M. I'd likely avoid 0W-30s too unless it's really cold though, to avoid any potential for hassle from an uneducated dealer.
