New Champion Iridium Plugs

As a past master, racer, supertuner and engine builder and automotive M.E. I can assure you that japan NGK steel plugs and USA made NGK V-power have been BY FAR the worst plugs on the market: absolute garbage, thin steel ground electrode that wear at 2X the normal rate of proper inconel or high nickel. NGK current IR plugs show improved construction. Nippon Denso hot-U have always been superior in Japanese steel plugs.

Pretty much.

At least compared to other options available to you for the same or less $$$. Champion is the Fram of the plug world. Will they work? Sure. Could I get better for the same or less $? Yup.

What experience do you have with their new iridiums?
None?
I thought so...

NO experience doesn't seem to stop you from posting something is good or bad all the time on here.

I have sold Champion plugs and used them( generally OE plugs )for YEARS and have enough experience with their product to know I can do better. Even if their new iridiums are excellent( that would be a first )I wouldn't touch them based on the long history I have with their product line( automotive, industrial, marine, motorcycle, small engine, etc... ). Small engines are about the only area I have had any decent experience with Champion plugs.

As I said, the Fram of the plug world. Will they work? Sure. I can get quality plugs from other mfg's for the same or less though that have a much better quality history.

My comments are more Champion in general than specific to the new iridiums.

Of course he isn't. But lots of us get so tired of hearing the viral marketing people on sites like this telling us how NGK plugs are the best plug out there and how everything else is garbage. LOL

Which makes it both dated and irrelevant to this thread.

Forgive me oh wise, all knowing, master of the forums who dictates what can and can't be said. I will PM you all posts I wish to make from now on prior to making them for your approval.

HMMM?? Seems to me you told another member you wouldn't "blow $45" on RP SN( the topic was about SN )for any street vehicle just recently( see link below ). Have you run the new RP SN oil at all? Have you ever run RP oil and if so when so we know your comments are up to date and relevant? Seems to me you hold others to a much different standard than you hold yourself around here.

NOTE - the always asked for "proof" here on BITOG

If you read my post (again) you will see that I stated , "NGK current IR plugs show improved construction." I was refering to the B P/K R 5/6 ES11 and similar ubiquitous Japanses plugs. Most Longlife Ir use High Nickel copper alloy to prevent gap widening due to GND erosion
