Champion "OE" Spark Plugs ?

There seems to be very little information out there on this new series of spark plugs from Champion. I'm wondering what the difference would be from their other lines including the iridium series. Is this their attempt to get their plugs to work better with a multitude of manufacturers?

Mainly marketing of some sort, Who uses Champ OE these days? Dodge/Ram?

My Wife's old 1.8L subaru in the 90's came with Champions OE from Japan. Hard to find #8 heat range dealers didn't have them as service parts. Before you ask, No NGK worked well in there, tried BKR6ES-11 They no go good.

Not sure these are "new"?

I put a set on my daughters Hyundai Elantra when she was visiting for Thanksgiving 3 or 4 years ago. She bought them and asked me to install them. They were iridium and the parts guy at store said they were designed to replace OEM plugs for her car.

Anyway, they were gapped perfectly and went in without any issues. She is still driving it today, so seems to be fine (I think she has put around 50K on them.)

Come to think of it......where does the Champion product live today?
How do they compare in size to other manufacturers?
Do they produce spark plugs for other companies, under other names?
I would think Stellantis Chrysler vehicles. I've had several Hyundais equipped with Champions from the factory. At one time, they were a major player in Formula 1.

I bought a used 2006 Elantra in 2010 from private owner w/27K miles. The original owner had never replaced the plugs. OE factory installed plugs were Champion part no. 7546 double platinum plugs. That's what I replaced them with later on. Local Advance Auto stores still stock this plug.

I know Hyundai and Mopar does still. Yura, one of the OE plugs for HyunKia is a JV between Champion/Beru and HL Mando/Hyundai Mobis.

BMW uses Beru along with Bosch and NGK. Beru falls under the Champion brand with Driv Automotive.

British cars also used Champion plugs. Some Jaguar mechanics preferred NGK or Bosch in them instead.

Oh, Harley still uses Champion. You’re just paying The Motor Company the tax on them for the “official” ones with the HD shield.

My 1965 AMC Rambler American uses Champion RH18Y spark plugs.
