New car for us? Maybe.

EA888 Gen3 in my Atlas (235hp, 258lb/ft) was perfectly good moving us+two kids, full trunk, Yakima and bikes. Hitting 100mph over 10,000ft altitude fully loaded is piece of cake:

That's a good looking ride. I'm a sucker for blue but the Wife had enough of people texting her wherever she went in her Wrangler. She wanted something plain such as silver or gray for the replacement. I have a blue and silver Ram, special order.

Yeah, that car looked good. If I didn’t have that windshield issue I would have never get rid of it. It would fit third kid we had in the meantime and stuff for our road trips.

Ok, signed the paperwork about an hour ago, so it's ours. Well, my wife's. But I will wash it, maintain it, gas it, make sure to pay taxes and registration on time etc. etc., but if any of that isn't up to par, it will be MY car 😁. I'm with @edyvw about the newer screen displays and interfaces. No idea why they did all of this when the "old" system was quite good. Oh well, at least there is a ton of videos on YT to teach this old dog how to operate stuff. I'm sure we will enjoy it regardless. Now, I have to clean and detail all over again to get it to shortyb standards (which falls way short of @slo town's).

The new thick vs thin debate (Sensor vs mechanical dipstick) 😁
That debate is at least 20 years old over on the BMW forums. My response is that if you trust the electronic fake oil pressure gauge, electronic fake temp gauge, the electrical gas gauge, and the electronic speedometer, etc. why don't you trust the electronic oil level gauge?

Who says I trust all that other electronic nonsense? Old skool FTW 😁.

Dipstick will be here Tuesday.
