Conventional drain and fill methods removes only one-third of a transmission’s fluid capacity, which leaves the remaining oxidized fluid to contaminate the new fluid.

“Often the mixture causes more damage than if the old fluid had been left alone,” Erwin said. “Also, no efforts were made to chemically clean the inside of the transmission since dissolved contaminants could not be removed.”

You've gotta be kidding.

Sounds like the same snake oil salesmen that come to my work and try to sell their wares. The MOC guy really does not like me because I call out all their [censored] every time they come in to restock service.

When you get free use of flush machines and sales consulting for your advisors for selling a fluid company's product, there is a real value. Training and equipment are valuable resources.

Take the sales [censored] out of the article...

Is this really a bad machine? My main issue with these style machines is you don't get a filter change.

Now you understand why trusting BG blindly is a bad idea regardless of their reputation.

No, it is not.

The only pumps are injection pumps that add their chemicals. It's still completely passive.

And it should be noted that we owned an older B&G machine for many years I got at an equipment auction. Never had a problem.

But all you really need is a bucket!
