New Auto Extra 57082 Oil Filter

These are pictures of a unused Auto Extra oil filter that I bought from Rock Auto for about 3 dollars. Application is for a GM Ecotec. Looks very well made with no obvious defects that I could find. I'm going to use it on my next oil change.

Made in Poland, like other AE applications, my guess is made by Wix/Affinia. It does 'look' well made, based the recent GM oil filter ecotec filter thread, fit/length seems the biggest issue with ecotech applications. Have to come back after it's been used and show us how it held up. But, no worries about a combo valve with an AE cartridge. Thanks for the pics.

I've bought many Auto Extra filters from Rock Auto, and have yet to be disappointed.

That's good to know because I want to try one for my Dodge truck at some point. It might be a while before I get to try one for the truck because I bought four Fram oil filters back when they were on sale from Summit Racing.

$3 is a great price for an Ecotec filter. Also, it doesn't look much different from other Ecotec filter I have used.
