Thursday, Aug 7 was a new record temperature for the month of August in Phoenix. It was 118 F.
LOL I loved that stupid comment. [No disrespect intended!] I would reply with "heat up your oven to 118F and stick your head in there, that's a dry heat too."“It’s a dry heat”![]()
C'mon down to Arkansastan at 120F and see how much sweltering it is!LOL I loved that stupid comment. [No disrespect intended!] I would reply with "heat up your oven to 118F and stick your head in there, that's a dry heat too."
No thanks!! That's a wet heat isn't it?C'mon down to Arkansastan at 120F and see how much sweltering it is!
The local weather I use has a contiuous Pavement Temperature reading on their website. Currently, it's about 6am and the temperature on pavement is still 88F. By mid-afternoon, it's in the 140s, and sometimes higher. I take my dogs out as soon as it's light enough to pick up their business without having to carry a flashlight.I wonder how many people put boots on dogs to go out and pee when the temps get that high.
It’s so wet you can hold a cup in the air and it’ll be filled up in a minute! No thanks!! That's a wet heat isn't it?![]()
We had a hot humid spell too, it got up to around 100F for a few days. Combine that with the smoke from the Canadian wildfires and it sucked! It’s so wet you can hold a cup in the air and it’ll be filled up in a minute!
My work in victorville is always a few degrees hotter than my house.sad, as the city grows, with more asphalt and buildings, these cities don't cool off at night, as a result temps will keep rising.
Air you can wear.No thanks!! That's a wet heat isn't it?![]()
