Was at Walmart this evening and noticed a couple new products, a high mileage version of black label Pennzoil Full Syn and a non-Dexos 0W-20 Mobil 1 "for hybrids"

I would say that it's not Dexos approved, but I just found the individual quarts listed on Walmart's websits and they do say that it's Dexos approved, as of yet they have nothing about it on their weebsite.
AFE has the dexos label

That's for a product sold in China, I'm not sure it's the same thing. They don't have anything listed on their American website and the QR code on the bottle just leads you to the main page that lists all the varieties of Mobil and Hybrid isn't in their.

Oh well. I wondered about some of the grammar on that page. Maybe it's the same stuff, just being sold here now too. We'll eventually find out.

According to what ExxonMobil technical spokesperson told me, the Hybrid oil is supposed to be a 15,000 mile “guaranteed” oil. It is positioned in between the 10,000 mile AFE and the 20,000 mile EP oil. It was not supposed to hit the market until after May, but Walmart released it early.

My personal take is the 0W20 EP has supposedly been “neutered” (PAO % cut in half) - and is not the screaming bargain it once was. Perhaps, the new Hybrid oil gives the most “bang for the buck?” 🤷‍♀️

Right now it's the cheapest 0W20 Mobil 1 product at walmart it's $28 while the regular Mobil 1 is $30 and EP is $32.5
