Neutra Engine Cleaning Results...

I put 6oz of Neutra into the oil in my SAAB (16V turbo 4qt sump) and ran it for 1000 miles. I then changed to Schaeffers 7000 semi-syn 10w30 and have about 1000 miles on it. The lifter noise I had on startup stopped after about 500 miles of running the Neutra and the engine seems to run smoother over all and definitely up near redline. I know that the new oil is probably helping a lot with that. Interestingly enough, the oil is getting very dark after only 1000 miles. Is the Neutra doing something similar to what ARX does in rinse??? Does the moly in the 7000 do this? opinions please.

I would think so, but the Schaeffers cleans very well due to its PAO.

I would run the Schaeffers abour 4-5k, then change it out. Then, run 4k again and do an analysis

What were you using before? Turbos cook dino for breakfast!

PAO's do not have cleaning abilities,Esters are the cleaning synthetic baes oils.

I've only changed the oil twice on this thing, so I don't know. I think that it was always run with Dino but was changed every 3k religiously.

With the color of this oil right now I think that I might change it after 3k and then go for 4-6k intervals.
