I share a typical wood fence with one of my neighbors who owns at least 1 pitbull (maybe more.. haven't been able to count).
The pitbulls keep literally chewing away at the wood fence panels and finding their way into my backyard.
I have spoken with the neighbor a few times about this. We were really great friends until I brought up the issue the 2nd time and then he quit talking to me. Today is the 3rd time I have found damage in the fence and had to put in a temporary repair to block it.
I don't like pitbulls, even if his are the best dogs in the world. I have no problem calling animal control if they break into my yard again.
But this guy is my neighbor. Gotta live next door to him.
What is a reasonable and fair thing to do here? Keep talking to him about it? I don't think he is taking the necessary steps to prevent it from happening on his side.
