Neighbor dumped their trash in my can after pick up

Can he take mine out too?
Only when on vacation.

I take his out when they go away, so even.

Thing is, my property is more than 2X the distance, so he needs to come up the hill, get my can and roll it down there. Then when empty (at least there is that) roll it back up. When I do his, seems easy, all flat. Hahahahahaha

I have certainly dropped a bag in someone else's can on my street later at night the night before trash day when mine was full/I was taking it out.

I used to pick up trash along my walk with my dog the day before trash day (or morning of pick-up) when the cans were out. I'd drop in whomever's can was close/convenient as I was walking. At some point in our neighborhood's FB groups someone was complaining (BITOGer?) about something like this and that they had the suspect on their ring camera 🤣 Not sure it was me but that was the last time I picked up trash. I figured I'm doing everyone a favor keeping the area picked up and that putting a few bits of crap in someone's can wasn't an issue. No problem. Pick it up yourself.

Neither of these would give me a second thought or bother me. If like the OP someone was dumping a bag in my empty can after pickup taking up my weekly trash volume until the next trash day yes...I would just go ask them about it if wasn't just a one-off thing.

I used to give my neighbors some grief for being noisy or obnoxious running a dirt bike with no muffler up and down the side of the road after I got home from a long day at work. They would get mad and rip my mailbox out and throw it into the culvert.
Skip ahead 20 years, they grew up or moved away.

Now the town snow plow knocks it over and drags it down the road. *Sigh*

The Google map car designated my driveway and the neighbors yard as a connection between two streets. When two cars meet one will just cut right up through my yard. After years of arguing with Google, putting up gates and actual fights with people who refuse to stop driving through the grass and up my driveway we've just given up fighting it.
Put up a fence? Something parked in the driveway? Would love to see a pic of this as I don't understand how someone could mistake a driveway for a road.

I rarely see him, but we had a run in last year where I messaged the HOA about his overgrown palm tree that was dropping berries all over my walkway and getting tracked into the house and car. HOA president copied me in on the message to him which annoyed him. Not satisfied, I emailed him.
This is where the problem is on a few fronts and a few questions. Were the overgrown branches on your property and could you cut them back? You have an HOA, do you need to get permission to do anything? Let's have some fun with this, if you were to take a chainsaw and cut the tree down at 3a.m. or use a handsaw, would you get in trouble?

The other thing that you already know is that you said something and the other person could not take it, and they retaliated.

My neighbor used to mow his lawn and blow the grass clippings on my driveway . He knew he was doing it because maybe one time out of five he would blow it off . I got even . I'll leave it at that .

Does your neighbor have his own can? Just put the trash in his can and be done with it. Then take all the berries and throw them in his yard. Soon he might get the hint. Otherwise, get off my lawn 😁.

First day of school is today. A teacher parks in front of my house, like they normally do, and I see her out my front window cleaning out her very new car and putting the cans, Starbucks cups, her kids juice boxes and napkins, tissues and stuff in my recently emptied garbage can (Tuesday is garbage pick up day, they come by two hours before she got there). I’m home sick and figure it’s better in my can than dumped on the street.

I let it slide, now the dog walker who left a pile of dog poo on my grass is another matter, that I wouldn't let slide

I will see if I can take a pic later. The driveway extends past my house and goes to the property I bought later on. From there the neighbors had tire tracks in their grass where they sometimes drive to an old barn. The google map car just followed the tracks in the grass and went on over to the next street and put it on the map. Everybody drives thru now. Ups, FedEx, garbage truck even the railroad started going across the property to get to a crossing. I just gave up on stopping people.
