Need Trans Flush Product

I'm looking for a flush product that I can put in my transmission, run it for a short period of time like 20 minutes and then do a fluid exchange to flush it out of the transmission with all the gunk.

I changed the fluid in my Santa Fe and there is some clutch residue in the transmission from what I noticed on the drain plug, what drained out and the dip stick when checking the fluid.

I have a permanent screen as a filter and not an actual filter.


I don't want to use MMO or Auto-Rx for this.

Suggestions?
 
You just changed the fluid, right? What ATF did you use?

Chemical flushing isn't needed. Just change the ATF in a reasonable interval.

Depending on the ATF you used, consider a bottle of Lubegard Red or equivalent for the interval.

Add an inline filter like a magnefine.
 
I too would reccomend a Magnefine filter.
Also, if you can drop the transmission pan and wipe it out real well, the majority of stuff falls out of suspension and ends up there.

The only issue I have with a transmission flush is getting 100% of the old fluid and flush out. I would worry about the small percentage of flushing agent left behind messing with stuff.
But that's just me.

I was thinking that too. I would probably do one flush with some generic fluid, then do it again with my fluid of choice.
 
My local Mazda dealer uses the BG stuff when they do the fluid exchange- even on warranty cars. My Mazda 6 liked it but I think it raised viscosity since after the flush my mpg dropped... only change was the BG product.
 
Flushing can dislodge stuff and get it in horrible locations, with ensuing problems.
Clean the pan out manually, and of course use fresh fluid.
If you really feel the need to flush, do it after you have cleaned everything that you can.
Then I'd change it again, of course.
 
I want to flush because I want to clean the screen inside the transmission before it's a problem. It's not removable without taking half the transmission apart. The pan is also vertical and not on the bottom of the transmission so I'm not taking it off because it's a ROYAL PITA.

This transmission has had top quality synthetic and changed early than required so I don't think there is a ton of goop in there but I want it out, whatever is in there.

Also I'm thinking about a Magnefine once flushed.

Thanks for the 2 products suggested thus far I will look into those.

I can't use the BG or the Amsoil stuff because it says not to be used with a non serviceable filter or screen which is what I have.

I guess I will add some MMO and hope that my transmission doesn't grenade because it's super fussy on oil and will not hesitate to self-destruct.

It's kinda like a spoiled kid who has been told "NO"

well if you were in the u.s. i could send you some flush chemical that i have, it is really safe stuff, it's one of two flush kits that i will use, it is also safe for non serviceable filter transmissions, unfortunately for you it's not available on the retail market.

Many dealers use the BG stuff and their transmission filters are not serviceable. I would call the BG Tech Line and ask for their opinion.

I don't even know if I can get BG in Canada... I will call them Tuesday... (Monday is a holiday here and most likely I will be busy doing other stuff)

I'm scared the goopy nature of this product will cause erratic shifting because it may get caught in the screen in the transmission or valve body. With the transmission being a fussy one already I would rather something of a more liquid nature like MMO if anything.
 
I've used Auto-Rx several times on transmissions. It's my "go to" cleaner/maintainer of transmissions now. Does great stuff safely.
