need some help with a gm 6.0 liter please

we have run dozens of the exact same vehicle into dust. 250k miles routinely, one of our best ones is at 400k miles and counting!

Use the factory OLM, and any major brand of synthetic oil. I like to run MMO as we near our change intervals. Our OLM usually triggers around 4500 miles, but yours should go further.

My last workplace had a 1 ton 2004 cube van with the 6.0L and it got extended OCI on bulk dino from the dealer. The OLM went off at around 7k, and they would get around to doing the oil change at about 15 or 16k most of the time. It used half a qt of oil by 15k miles, the oil was pretty dark but not sludgey looking. They got the truck new and when I left there it had around 140k on it and it was still running like new.

i would go 10k on M1 or PP, esp in warm weather....even 10k on regular oil would be fine, the oil life monitor on my G5 looks like it will go 12,000 miles before i should change it...i usually change at 6k but i dont have to...just check oil and make sure it is full on DS and i bet you never have a prob with that monster

God must be watching out for that van with you or else people like my friends and in laws would be doing the "just add oil" routine till van died
