need help with a 2005 camry please

good afternoon fellas. i have a 2005 camry that the wifey passed down to me as a commuter car,i have a 2010 tundra with the 5.7 so fuel mileage totally sux. it has been to the dealership all its life for routine maintenance and i want to do it all myself now. do anyone know how many and where any alamite zerk grease fittings are on the car? the car ha the 2.4 liter 4 banger engine if that helps.

Being a 2005 it shouldn't have any as far as I know. They have done away with those in modern cars for the most part...

There are no zerk grease fittings on our two 05 camry's.

The 2.4 will be very easy to maintain.

so nothing to grease right? just change the oil and filter and air filter and i should be golden? any other ideas for routine maintenance? i haven't crawled under it as of yet. does anybody know where the oil filter is located on the 2.4l?

Once you get around 100K miles, you will want to replace the spark plugs.

Also, IF it has a timing belt, it will need to be replaced at the interval recommended in the owner's manual.
Need an owner's manual.....go to the TOYOTA website and register your car.....and you will have online access to it.
Also, you will be able to see any recalls and dealership service history.

If it has a automatic transmission, I would change the ATF.....

I would also bleed some brake fluid at each wheel ever few years.

If it has RED coolant, the change interval may be 30K miles.
If it has PINK coolant....the change interval is longer.....

Check the owner's manual for the recommended service intervals.

As far as grease fittings, if you have a suspension part replaced.....sometimes you have the option of getting a part with a grease fitting......but they don't seem to put them on OEM parts anymore.

Your Camry should give you many more years of service.

thanks wiswind. it has 135,000 and still gets 32 mpgs so i'm gonna wait for the mpg's to drop off a little before replacing plugs. i believe it has a timing chain,it does have a auto transmission which i flush and refill with toyota atf fluid every 50,000. anything else bro? that was all helpful but i think i have all your points covered but much thanks again. also, had the belts changed @ 100,000 but hoses were ok they said.

alright fellas i'm gonna revive my own 2 yr old thread so bear with me please. the said camry now has around 162,000 miles on her so i've planned to do an atf drain and fill since its been approx 60,000 miles since last done it probably needs it. i checked the fluid and its still fairly red but not bright. i have securred 4 qts of type T-IV toyota transmission fluid which is oem fluid for my model. so, on to my question. i was gonna change the front end gear oil also. does the front axle share the atf with the transmission on the 2.4l engine and auto transmission? or is it a seperate reservoir that needs gear oil?
