I need to know which fuild can I used. I did look around the website and i find a mix reviews on different types of fuilds. I was thinking of buying Fuchs titan 4134, but it costly, and I can only buy it from of the online store.

Any feedback on which atf should I buy?

I have used Shell ATF 134 with good results in my CLK500. It's a 722.6 transmission. YMMV.

It's cheapest one, on MB approved list and can be had easily.

The Shell ATF 134 is on MB approved fluid list, so that would be a good option. I wouldn't trust a fluid manufacturer recommendation of "suitable for", I would stick with MB's list of approved fluids.

The NAG-1 isn't magic, and there are lots of good, approved, fluids on the market. The 722.6 in your car should have a TC drain plug, later models don't. You can get about 70% of the fluid out with a pan drop and D&F on the TC.

Use a new gasket and filter when you reinstall it. You should seriously consider replacing the connector plug. They begin to leak over time, and fluid will contaminate the wiring harness and eventually wick up to the computer causing all sorts of malfunctions.

Finally, getting the level correct when done isn't trivial. You'll need to buy the "special service tool" AKA dipstick: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/mercedes-automatic-transmission-dipstick-oes-genuine-140589152100 and you'll have to set the level precisely based on fluid temperature. Lots of MB forum discussion on this.

A nearby Mercedes tech that now has his own shop recommends Red Line D4 for the 722.6 with the 5.5L V8.

He has that engine/transmission transplanted into an older model and he hammers it all the time. He calls it a gentleman's express. It looks like a little old lady's car but it's really fast. It's out of an AMG car if that makes any difference.

Maxlife is good stuff and will work great in your transmission

My advice is to purchase one that is on the MB approved fluid list.

Don't fall for others that have the weasel wording such as 'recommended' or 'suitable' etc.

Who cares?

Seriously. It's approved. Get in the habit of regular changes, and don't neglect that connector, and you'll never have a problem with this transmission.

Anyone know which website is the best for ordering parts for Mercedes ? I was looking at the esutuning.com and they have bad reviews.

AutohausAZ
GermanAutoParts
FCPeuro

And I do like ECS Tuning. Most of the bad reviews are from flat-brimmed hat wearing scene kids with mom's money.

ECS has been fine, but I've found a few other MB sites that sell for less than ECS, either oediscountparts.com which has free shipping over $50 or genuinemercedesparts.com, their prices are a little bit lower, but they charge for shipping so depending on what you're buying, they may be cheaper.

In addition to the sites above, don't forget Amazon and rockauto and of course Advance Auto. The Akebono pads were cheaper from Advance auto with their 40% off coupon codes than any other place like Amazon.

I order transmission parts from oediscountparts.com and engine parts from AutohausAZ (valve cvr gaskets, crankcase hoses, antifreeze).

Do I really need a new bolts for the valve cvr gasket during the installing? If so i can not find the parts number for the bolts and Sealing Compound from the oediscountparts.com. I wish i could order the parts from the https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-merc.../1130160221kt1/ because they had everything i needed and i didn't because of the bad reviews.

last question is 13 pin connector for the transmission was not find at the oediscountparts.com. Could I get the Dorman brand from advance auto part store, or OEM from mb dealership, and why is Beck/Arnley A/T CONDUCT ADPT PLG higher than Dorman brand?

Also i'm stopping by the DISTRIBUTOR store on monday in memphis,tn and i hope i can buy atf fluids from them. I heard shell 134 is thinner. Am i right?
