The thing is, as many times as these brands switch hands, change plants, or change designs, what is great today might be a total turd tomorrow.

Luckily even the turds seem to work well at reasonable intervals.

OEM filter's best bet. Opinions will vary. I'd say the popular filters have also gotten the most scrutiny here since we see more of them.

If I had not found OG FS10575’s - would have gone to TG …
Not going to waste one on an unused C&P - but some FS’s did have the leaf spring seal …

Search Zee0Six posts. Well respected, longterm forum member with a sound knowledge base regarding filters. I've used FramUltra since 2015 on F150 5.0 and since 2017 on Outback 3.6. Represents 270k miles between the vehicles. I cut every filter and 7500 OCI the majority of times. I've had 1 filter fail on the F150 (manufacturing defect; leaking) and 1 very wavy media on the Outback.

Unfortunately the Amsoil filter is the same as the Endurance. Champ Labs made, Royal Purple is also the same.

I have concluded either OEM or a Premium Guard. PG’a are well made, affordable and readily available in stores and online. What’s not to like?
