Can any of you guys recommend a good adhesive that'll bond soft, rubbery plastic together?

On Christmas day, just a few hours after opening a new Barbie doll that she received as a gift, my 5 year old daughter broke its leg off. All eyes turn to Daddy to fix it, so I take it down to my work room in the basement. I gave up on the idea of using a dab of super glue to reconnect it to the moving joint that allows the leg to rotate, etc. Rather, I generously filled the hip socket with Liquid Nails, stuck the leg in it, and used a rubber band to hold it in place for a couple of days.

It didn't work. The Liquid Nails doesn't seem to be able to establish a good bond with the soft, rubbery plastic that the doll is made out of. Can you guys recommend another adhesive, preferably something I can get at Home Depot, Lowes, or a local hardware store? Gorilla Glue or Gorilla Epoxy maybe?

Get a tube of E6000. Found locally by me in all the craft stores such as Micheal's.

I would take a small scrawl and roughen up the mating surfaces also.

Tried it. Didn't hold very long. Because of the flexibility, I was able to bend the leg right back off without having to exert too my force.
