An older Stihl 038 came in with a request for a new bar, 2 new chains and shorten 1 worn chain. It ended up with a new sprocket too. I went to test cut with it to verify that it ran and oiled properly. It didn't run well above idle. Wonder why?

That is sawdust packed on there. The incorrect fuel tank vent is going to be replaced also. With a clean air filter it ran really well.

I believe a panty hose wrap is in order.

What kind of person doesn't clean his chainsaw after each use or at least before using it again? At a minimum a person needs hit it with the air compressor. I clean both of mine before I even think about throwing them in the truck to go cut wood.
