I believe NASCAR will make a decision soon maybe today we are expecting 6 to 10 inches of snow here starting Friday night.
+NASCAR...should have paid attention to their fan base. Whole sport died when they insisted everyone drive the same car. It was interesting when folks were able to "soup up" their cars to suit themselves and then drive them in the race. Once that ended, the sport died for me. Go woke, go broke.
NASCAR died for me after I started watching WRX and some of the European stock car racing on road courses on SPEEDVISION. They drove factory cars modified with cages, racing engines, transmissions, and axles, but look mostly like what I could purchase tomorrow, if I lived in Europe. Plus the racing on road courses was very aggressive. More than left turns helps too.
The only thing enjoyable about NASCAR is Bristol and the massive wrecks. I can't tell you the last time I watched a race start to finish.

Racing a 1/4 mile oval might be one of the few things they have done right in a couple decades.
Winston Salem in January is just foolish however. So was COT. I don't even know what car there running now. Could be shipped here from China for all I know.
