Basically, I am tired of going to China Mart and would like to do buisness somewhere else. Between the both it will cost about the same for each OCI. Everyone agrees that NAPA is made by Ashland w/ possibly a diffrent add pack. My Supertech here is made by Warren. Will the NAPA work good for 4k OCIs on my 02 5.3 GM, Which has had valvoline products most its life?

I don't see why Napa brand oil would not work in the application you desire. Stock up I hear it's on sale this week. Follow your OLM with this oil and I bet you save even more money as you go past 4k.

Congratulations for giving up Wal-mart. One less drone for China!

I would love to see a VOA of Napa syn to compare to Synpower. I think we have a VOA of Napa syn that is a couple of years old. If I remember correctly, the add pack looked identical to Synpower.

If its the one I'm thinking about there was some differences?

Napa syn is the same as Synpower with a little less to the add pack. I would run it 5k easily and for 3.something a quart it's heck of a deal. Congrats on giving up on [censored]-Hole. We need to stop supporting China.

Can you link me to the VOA's? I'm lazy today.

All you do is click on Virgin Oil Analysis-PCMO/HDEO

Warren blends their oil in China? That's news to me.

(*sheesh*)

Would you please point me towards the retailer that doesn't get all their [censored] from China?

It is pretty unfair to paint a picture of walmart as chinamart when all the retailers carry the same stuff.

That is a good thing to point out. The overpriced junk from China at Walmart is way too overpriced when sold at other stores. I complain to the local hardware store owner that if I want junk from China I'll buy it at Home Depot.

I would probably use either of the two (Mobil blend or NAPA syn). I havent seen Mobil Clean 7500 in a year and a half or so. Besides, Mobil/Exxon makes waaaaaaaaay too much money anyways

OK I'm gonna change from Mobil-1. Cause Ashland is 4x better than Mobil-1 so if Napa is made by Ashland, then it's probably 3.5x better than Mobil-1

Or you could get some Castrol Edge at $8/qt, which I noticed has jumped on the bandwagon with Ashland and it says it is 8X better than Mobil 1 in Sequence IV testing!

Does Napa carry a HM oil? I'm thinking about a cheaper alternative to Maxlife, which has gone up some.

When it comes to house brands, I would go NAPA. We know NAPA oil is made by Ashland who also makes Valvoline, and I think that is a plus.
