Napa pro select

Hey guys, today I acquired a pro select oil filter for my engine (5.7 ls1) upon looking inside of the filter I can see some sort of rust spot roughly the size of 5 or so grains of rice on the inside close to the thread area.

Would you use the filter?

Also side question I see its made by mann hummel, can this filter provide proper flow for a performance engine?

Supertech and a/c delco have less metals to rust

Use it. The majority of the base plate would have to be covered in rust for me not to use it. I would use a Mann- Hummel made filter if I "acquired" it.
