Any loose glue on the "dirty side" of the filter could sill possibly go through the bypass valve, so the Rep telling him that sloppy glue is OK is blowing smoke.
Because I watched his first vid form link here, I got follow up (linked above) as a suggestion yesterday. Imo, if it's possible, it's even more confusing and misinformed than the first.
Dude still doesn't realize HE swapped the flat stamped spring from the Wix (not Wix "gold") to the new Napa Gold now made by Prem. Guard/PGI in the first vid. Come on. That was the only thing that most knowledgeable here couldn't understand about the newer PGI made Napa Gold. But his error did get sorted out here and confirmed what has been known here for a while, Napa has new supplier for their Gold filters. That's all the video needed to show and say.
At 12:47 of follow up vid he points to the bypass valves on the dome and calls them anti-drainback valves. Seriously, hard to give any credibility to what he says when he doesn't know the difference between the two.
Lastly, hopefully the dude is significantly better at servicing and repairing vehicles than he is at oil filter dissection information and explanation. My.02

Oil filters are pretty simple to understand, they're not the most complicated pieces of equipment. I would have to take a pass on his shop and use one that seems more.. knowledgeable.
