NAPA lists their Gold filters as 99% @ 30 microns. I was hoping for something like the Carquest Premium 99% @ 20 microns. Does anyone know what the NAPA Gold is rated at 20 microns?

Now that the NAPA Golds are made by PGI, I would think the efficiency would be the 99% @ 20u. Quite possible that the NAPA website is old info for the NAPA Gold when it was being made by WIX/Mann+Hummel.

Should try to email NAPA support and ask if that efficiency info is old and out of date.

And this on the NAPA box.

That is a nice improvement in efficiency. NG was my go to filter for a while. The cost is at least as much as the M1 filter for me, so it would have to go for as many miles, for it to make sense for me.

Is that chart in post #3 correct? I thought they always had silicone ADBVs.

At any rate, is there a mileage limit on the box? I thought either the box or the website said 10,000 miles back when I was using them, but I might be misremembering.

EDIT: The website listing for the NG 1516, the one I would use on the two bigger cars, says the following: Use Gold For Manufacturer OE Recommended Oil Change Intervals. That is certainly not over 10K, which I am taking my filters to.

Interesting. It always seemed like a rugged filter, I bet it could go beyond 5-10K that most manufacturers are recommending (either in terms of miles or the OLM).

All the PGI made filters that are the "extended" version are rated for 10K miles. It says the NAPA Gold can go 10K miles in post 3.

Maybe they averaged them and rounded down to get 7000. :D
Had a little argument just the other day with my wife about this was telling her, that I should have replaced the battery in my old phone shouldn’t of gotten rid of my 2016 Nissan she’s like what is your problem I replied I can’t stand spending money buying new and there’s no or very little improvement over the old. She tells me I got a bad attitude I told her only thing new is companies find new ways to take out money. But new is not always better she’ll get it someday. 🤣

Just curious since I don't use NAPA much (not convenient to me), aren't the Golds listing for something like $16 each? Do you get the price down somehow?
My NAPA Gold filters are listed for $13+ and you can usually get a 20% off coupon if you order online for pickup in store or delivery. Get mine for $11.

Carquest Premiums (same filter I believe) list at $9.95 and typically you can get 15-20% off by ordering online for store pickup if spend $35 or more.
