Ok... need help picking out who makes this filter. It's a Beck/Arnley part # 041-8183... what they spec for my Mazda 2.0L. Any ideas? I'm guessing Denso, but not really sure. No label kinda stinks.

Close, but the filter is actually a Denso filter. The 0-ring gasket and the inlet hole design gives it away.

I beg to differ for most Asian oil filter manufacturers resort to using O-ring gasket, as opposed to straight-cut gasket commonly found in NA made oil filters (Fram, etc.).

So, guess again?

Beck/Arnley imports parts from all over the world and repackages them in their boxes. I worked for them for a year as packaging supervisor. I had 40 women who repackaged parts.

I was surrounded by 56 million dollars of automotive parts. I quit to go back to work for General Electric.

Might be a Tokyo-Roki knockoff. I though Denso uses a more elaborate stamping on the base - sorta space Ti casting looking shuttle like thang.that s P-ring gasket BTW not "O".

Looks exactly like the Denso I recently purchased for my wife's Toyota. Even the dark blue color suggests that that's what it is.

Either way, it's a Beck/Arnley part so I'm sure it's decent, whoever makes it. Probably priced a little high for what it is, but decent.
