Hello, I am going to be putting new ball joints and u joints in the dana 44 axle on my 1978 chevy k20. I am going to use the mystik grease to repack the bearings. I dont know if it has ever been done. The grease that is in there now is very black and gross. The u joints are from spicer and they are sealed for life. I use my truck for plowing in the winter here in NY and it can get pretty cold. I know this grease is good down to -10f. Do you think that is adequate for the wheel bearings in cold temps? When i start plowing i start with my driveway so i have no driving distance to warm up the grease. How long does bearing grease take to warm up? I am also going to use this grease to lube my rear u joints. Lastly i would like to use a moly grease for all my ball joints. I have a large grease gun that is going to get the mystik grease. I have a small grease gun that takes those small grease tubes. What would be a good grease for all the ball joints? Thanks

I have never used Mystik JT6 but its applications does list wheel bearings and other specs look fine for that work.

the mystik gets a good rep around here that is why i chose it. For the ball joints and such i am looking for something locally. I can certainly go to the store and pick something up based on some specs, i was just wondering if there was a certain value per dollar grease that people liked.
Mystic has a grease with moly.
Synthetic grease?
Been using synpower which has about 1% molybdenum iirc. Works great everywhere I have needed to use it.
Castrol pyroplex or mobil works for me
The Mystik HT grease will be fine for your requirements. It is all I ever use on my landscaping / plow trucks. I use the Mystik grease with moly only on the spline slip joints, all other joints (ball joints, u-joints, tie rod ends, transmission linkages, etc. get the regular Mystik HT grease without moly.
