I can't believe I didn't notice that...

I saw it but didn't want to be labeled as insensitive... again.

New user, posting a never-before seen astounding issue with Mobil 1 oil... Name "Jooksing...

Yes I'm naturally skeptical.

I noticed the name too, but did not want to pull a P. I. Staker incident.

Let me know if you think I need to change it. I have that moniker for some time now. I am on SD and clublexus, I joined BITOG just to post this as I figured you guys will enjoy this.

I read BITOG even in the early years of BITOG. Its the reason I am a bit of an oil snob. It is also the reason I knew that Oil analysis exist.

Jooksing is a term that Chinese people call other chinese people born outside of the motherland.. IE..in the US. We are not Chinese enough to considered being Chinese..

Update.. I called Blackstone to add the TBN analysis. If someone indeed swapped veggie oil it would have zero TBNs.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jook-sing

Jook-sing or zuk-sing (竹升) is a Cantonese term for an overseas Chinese person who was born in a Western environment and/or a Chinese person who more readily or strongly identifies with Western culture than traditional Chinese culture.

Yes, they say I would front the cost , ie they will decide later if they are responsible. I have an rx400h. they packed the engine bay so dense it cost $$$$ just to do that.

If it’s vegetable oil there’s a lot more that will flag on the analysis besides the TBN.

P. I. Staker was a scene in the movie Hot Fuzz. Link Nicolas Angel is a police officer, recently transferred from London to a small town, and believe's being pranked in this scene.

Was Mobil sent links to the YouTube videos to see what they thought?

Not yet, mechanic wants to see UOA before he gives me a write up on what need to be done. then I will send into Mobil.

(P.s I have the Abbreviation page up to write my post and I read BITOG occasionally for a long time. Thats why I might sound seasoned here)

What year is the car? Could it have been a cash for clunkers victim? Back when this program was active, in order for the dealers to get credit, the oil was drained and a solution (sodium based) was poured into the engine that would intern cause it to seize, my guess is maybe the oil wasn't drained and the solution was added? just a wild guess..

Dude, it's in the opening post:

Quote:
Hybrid SUV 08 Lexus RX400h has 126k miles. Oil changed every 5k for the past 4 years with M1 filter.

No way ~ Starting to think George Soros was involved … aside from Tig1 few have used M1 longer than me … M1 0w20 EP is in my new 5.3L … and I’m sleeping fine tonight … never had an issue in over 3 decades …

Have I posted this before:

Im in agreement with the consensus here...I don’t think that is automotive engine oil...

There are a lot of lowlifes in this world. Could be someone working at Walmart, a disgruntled customer, or just someone with a really warped perception of what's funny to them.

This whole video/topic seems very perplexed to me. He changes his own oil but nothing looked wrong with the oil he dumped in to create this mess?? Very very perplexing!!!

If you didn't suffer any mechanical damage from this failure, why would you foot the bill for an engine tear down on 10 year old Toyota? Seems like a huge gamble to me. (They may or may not pay for something that may or may not have caused damage.)

Take my advice for what it's worth (free), but I would just run several 5w20 cheap dino 500 mile runs.

Either way, I am looking forward to the Blackstone lab report!

As much as the oil pick-up screen in the sump was clogged up was there any low oil pressure warning light, etc?

This has been the most interesting thread since the tree monkey thread. I hope Blackstone is fast with this uoa!
