(407 is a toll highway where you pay for every KM you drive using an electronic transponder, it can be quite expensive but makes your trip very fast

For sure the 407 is an infinitely better road than its ugly sister the 401. But one sure does pay for the convenience; way too often my monthly bill is over $100.

I am paranoid about getting pulled over for speeding on that roadway. I do my best to set cruise control for 120 km/h (72 mph) to be sure.

Doug,

They hide just after the bends and usually near the truck inspection stations.... I always speed up to the next volume of traffic during a straight away where they would have no cover. Has served me well for quite a while on this HWY and others.

I know what you mean when you say expensive... I had to drive to a restaurant opening in Brampton each day for 14 days and took the 407 from where it ends in Burlington all the way to the 410 back/forth each day. Bill was over $200 but my company reimburse me for it... TGOD

The one time I did get nabbed for speeding last year was on a back country road just at dusk. I wasn't feeling well and wasn't paying attention and got nabbed doing 100 in an 80 and the bugger wouldn't reduce the ticket at all like they usually do. Oh well. $110 and 3 points later...
