My oil and filter stash

I like a bargain as much as anyone else, but why do some guys stock several years worth of oil and filters?

For 04 Impala: (6) Microgard filters (3) Tearolator Classics and (1) AC Delco PF 47. For 08 Silverado (2) AC Delco PF 48 and (1) Napa Pro Select. Oil: 10 qts Valvoline 5w30 conventional, 5qts Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w30, 11 qts Formula Shell 5w30, 12qts Napa Synthetic 5w30, 30 qts Quaker State 5w30 conventional.

I like my oil fresh. I only buy what I think will be used within a few months.
