On my normal daily lunch break walk I found a good ol Snap-On 19mm combination wrench. Call me simple but I'm pretty happy about it.

Ha ha. A couple years ago I found a 1/4 inch midget wrench while walking. It's funny how good it makes you feel to find something that's useful.....

I love finding change in parking lots. The wife won't bother to pick up a penny, but I will.

I found quite a few tools on walks. Amazing.

Brand new, nice GreenLee hacksaw.

A tool box. Empty. Dang.

A tackle box. Full. Score!

Two 12mm and two 13 mm box end wrenches. Go figure.

3 flashlights.

Snap-On awl, fine and very sharp.

once I found a 7/16ths wrench, but then they found it in my bag at the airport and stole it from me.

Pablo,

Whoa, I guess we should start walking around your neighborhood then? Man, those are some sweet things to find

It will probably be another 10 years before I find anything like that again, but one never knows.

Troll Route 9 from Cromwell (Hartford CT) to Long Island Sound on any Saturday morning in the summer, you can pick up an entire boat load (literally) of life preservers, seat cushions, boat bumpers, fishing net, ice chests, tie downs.... Just throwing one's stuff in a boat on a trailer and whizzing down the highway @ 70mph makes for some valuable roadside tidbits.

found a $20 bill in the company parking lot years ago (back when it was worth $20).

dutifully turned it into our guard, he kept it for 2 days and when no one asked if it had been found, I got it. Free and clear conscience, too. I probably frittered it away....

Oh that's over time. I have actually seen wrenches on the freeway at 70 mph....but, well unless it's an odd size that I don't have, I don't stop anymore.

Pablo,

You can tell what size it is while driving by at 70 mph???????

When I got home after Regal Acura (crooks) in Lakeland Florida was done with a free igniter module update on my old 90 Legend coupe, I found a pair of side cutters with lime green handles resting on the sparkplug harness.

My buddie, who bikes about 5k miles a year, calls these items "road scoops". He's got quite a collection. He even keeps a log of the item, where he found it, what condition it was in ..etc. He's officially retired ..so it's just one of the distractions that he's adopted while keeping healthy.

I got a free 18" long, 1/2" masonry drill bit from the cable installer one time. He accidentally left it at my house. I called the company to report it, but the guy never came back to get his tool. Oh well. I've used that bit a number of times now. It's come in very handy.

I've gotten a nice scraper (returned it) when my then-mechanic installed my new windshield inspection sticker. He left it blade-out on the passenger seat in the dark.

Also a 3 D-cell flashlight that I can't kill and a vise grips that I donated to a vehicle that needed a window crank. I positively ID'd the vise grips going 25-30mph at night before I stopped to pick them up.

As far as "street money" goes as a kid with a 50-cent-a-week allowance I found $30! That'll show you to get your bike riding exercise, kiddos.

Almost forgot - tools included with crated items:

nearly new 1/2" Craftsman ratchet drive with my Craftsman air compressor

very small ball peen hammer with Troy Built tiller

I'm thinking a lot of tools must be shipped with equipment!

Bob - I will not touch that with a 10" Pole

Hey I forgot - my latest - under the house - a 120V quartz spotlight. Not that great though it works, but they are only like $6.
