It just spins...zero torque....It has served me well for about 5 years...it is worth rebuilding? I can get a new 19.2v one on sale for about $85 with a new battery.

Are these things worth repairing?

Milwaukee M18 Fuel high torque impact wrench. You will never look back.

I would not get any cordless devices with Nicad or NiMH, or LiIon or above.

Also these days there are different mAh batteriers from same company. They may include a low capacity battery with the product, but to have it last a decent time while using it you might need to a larger capacity.

I would not get any thing from Craftsman that was not a hand tool and not made in China.

The tools from HD (Rigid)??) have a lifetime warranty on the battery.

I bought the new one from Sears that was on sale for $99. I really only use it for lug nuts and in the trunk when I travel to Florida in case I get a flat. So, rather than drop $300 on one I'll just get another Sears disposable.

The whole Milwaukee setup is $497 for the wrench, battery & charger....vs $99 plus I had a $20 gift card.

You did well.
I have the same cordless impact. Good value.
Get a couple of the Lithium Ion batteries for it. It will transform the tool.
They are well worth the money.
