I cleaned her and drove her up in the Marin County coastal mountains for a few pictures. She is aluminum silver and the paint likes to pick up the color of the sky and of the surroundings:

If it weren't for the cloud cover, you'd see the Pacific far below in the background. I'm a few hundred feet above the clouds.

The sun was already very low and the shadows started creeping up on the tires.

139k miles? still looks very new. Nice pictures, I like the 3rd one very good use of light. Silver color is my favorite car color. My Jetta is also silver too, i think they call it reflex silver. What wax you use?

Gorgeous mori...The City probably becomes even more beautiful once you cross the Golden Gate or the Bay Bridge...if you really want to break everyone's heart, take it on the road (don't know the name but first exit then left off the 101 after you cross the GG bridge going north) and get some pictures with the GGB and The City in the background beneath you...

Thanks guys.

Pete, show me your A4's Yankee tail with the Polish plate shoehorned into it!

lpcmidst128, I use a clay bar followed by 'Klasse All in One' once a year. That's it.

pscholte, the road where I shot my car is actually the road that is used for shooting car commercials all the time. I know it as the Bolinas Ridge Road, but it may have another name. The location you mention just North and West of the GGB is called the Marin Headlands. There's also an old Nike missile site and coastal fortifications, WWII bunkers and pill boxes, and a lighthouse.

That's the one...what a beautiful road and view...and what a great place for a hillclimb!

Well, in Poland there are just two shapes: the standard rectangular one (which I had on the front of that car) and the square-ish one pictured above. The square-ish one looks better than the rectangular one in the rear, but it still ruins the clean look.

Anyway, it's not my problem anymore.

Hmm, I thought in most European countries they would give you a US-shape license plate if the car requires it. For example, in Germany, US cars can get the German plates in the typical US shape and size, if a standard plate won't fit. Those also get the short letter and number combinations. But maybe they stopped doing that.
