We don't know MRV or CCS for that blend.

I'm not a big fan of blending oils anyway. I'll likely go back to M1 0w-30 for next winter.

On occasion here we get into the 37-40 range (not 50C, of course!). I can handle that. Heat is not my enemy. I don't even turn on my AC for most of the summer. Our Monday night low, though, will be -36 C. That is hard to handle.

You said it.

Yesterday during the day it was warm, maybe -10 I was outside in my t-shirt. Someone cracked off where's my jacket so I said isn't it summertime.
Its amazing what a person perceives as cold when exposed to real cold.

-29C is around -20F, too d*mn cold! It was 2F this morning here. My F-150 4.6 with Motorcraft 5W-20 Synblend and Motorcraft FL820S oil filter started quickly and quietly except for my brief power steering whine. We"re going into the -F temps Monday AM.

We're doomed here for the next few days, and I think it's much the same in Saskatoon. Here, down to -32 C tonight, high of -30 C tomorrow with a wind chill of -50 C. I'm not impressed.

You got that right buddy! My wife absolutely hates the cold, anything under 45°F she's complaining. Take it down to 30°F and there's no point in talking to her. Below that and she's telling me how she's moving south when she retires, with or without me. LOL

That is starting to challenge even straight Sustina 0W-20, or M1 AFE 0W-20, without block/pan/whatever heaters at least.

Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w-40. It spent eight hours outside in the last cold snap and started without a fuss. It usually sits indoors, whether I'm at home or one of the businesses, though.

Actually, the only 0w-XX grades I've ever tried so far were GC and RP 0w-40, and that was in the old Audi. It didn't spend a lot of time outside, either.

And it's going to hit -35 C tonight, too, which isn't counting wind.

It's more challenging to me than the oil. I seize right up.

I'm surprised at the heater output of the G37. I am always nice and comfy in there. Considering the amount of heat that engine produces, at least they put it to some good use.
