Interesting video on the MP944 Chip which enabled the F-14 swing its wings. Seems like it was a breakthrough for the times as it was believed to be the first microprocessor and produced before the Intel 404.

Interesting video on the MP944 Chip which enabled the F-14 swing its wings. Seems like it was a breakthrough for the times as it was believed to be the first microprocessor and produced before the Intel 404.

That wasn't really a microprocessor. It had separate computing functions in different packages even though it was probably in fewer packages than previous central processing units.
