Vacationed many times in the Smoky Mountains as a child and also as a adult taking my kids there. Always loved breakfast at the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg. Love Eastern Tenn. Best of luck to you and your family.

1) The morning we left Western Carolina (visiting friends), we watched news footage of mountain roads collapsing in Eastern Tennessee due to Hurricane Floyd.
2) My brother married a girl who was from Tennessee.
3) I'm likely the only person you'll ever meet who woke up in Hendersonville, NC and went to bed in Hendersonville, TN in the same day!

Just changed oil about a 1K miles ago with Valvoline EP and yes 12oz. curls in the new fridge !!! LOL

It just means change is inevitable. Home won't be the same, and the person returning won't be the same. The changes are hopefully for the better.

My happiest childhood days were on my grandfather's farm in western Massachusetts. At age 50, after a miserable time in Northern New Jersey, I prepared to move back. But it had changed. From 35 dairy farms, there was now just one. All the people I once knew either died, moved away, or changed.

So, I went to southern Vermont. A great place to drive a Corvette without traffic or traffic lights.
