How does one move the email and contacts under Outlook from an old computer to a new one? How about if Windows is messed up on the old computer (so it cannot be booted) and all one can do is to access the old computers harddrive on a new computer as the E drive?

Outlook and Outlook Express are two very different ducks and keep their data in different locations.

What is on the new PC? IE, what are you looking to import the mail INTO?

I am not sure exactly what mail application they will use. But they bought a MAC.

I went to their computer once and it had a virus and could not do much. But their email was sending things or including links to bad websites when email was sent. As I said I believe its Outlook Express. Maybe you could give me both methods, Outlook and Outlook Express.

Outlook Express:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\*BIG STRING*\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Microsoft Outlook:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

If you're moving to a Mac, VMWare Fusion has a PC migrator utility, as does Parallels, that allows for PC to Mac migration and allows for virtualizing (running WIndows inside the Mac) Windows.

OK, thanks. For future reference, how about Win 7 and Windows Live Mail?
