I have to brag on the Sienna a little. Fit an 8 ft couch in the back with the door closed. The same couch was hanging out of the back of my brother in laws Expedition with the door tied down ghetto style. I had to rub it in because they're always giving us a hard time about having a minivan.

Hello, If tying down a tailgate because your load is too big for the vehicle is "ghetto style" then what do you call a farmer's load of hay which is lashed all over and hanging over the wagon?

Did the neighbor's come out and mock you as you drove through THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD with even a suggestion of couch showing?

Where's your head at? Kira

who [censored] in your cornflakes

What your driving is a forward cab 4-door pickup with a permanent camper shell.

I drive a mini version with my Civic wagon. I can haul a dishwasher, refrigerator or other stuff the same way.

Can the Sienna carry 4' by 8' plywood with the door close and does the plywood lie flat? Always like a vehicle with carrying ability like the old full size station wagons.

The bad thing about an open/roped tailgate is the exhaust fumes that fill the vehicle.

When mother went to the nursing home, my wife was surprised my RAV4 could carry dressers and living room upholstery chairs.

I put two kegs in the trunk of my '88 Hyundai Excel once.

The rear end was moving all around when going around curves.

But yeah, the Sienna is pretty cavernous when it's all opened up in the back.

Ronbo, I believe the Sienna was designed to be capable of carrying plywood that way.

I pulled the seats from a short wheelbase Silhouette (97+ body style) and hauled 14(?) foot long boxes of vinyl siding. Just slid between the front captain's chairs up against the dash console.

I feel fortunate my 07 Acura SUV came with a factory hitch. For a meager $15-20 I can rent a uhaul trailer and its so easy to move stuff around and load it since its low and open.

When I get a minivan I want to make sure it has a hitch for these purposes.

wow. sounds like your feelings got hurt. chill out bro

It's amazing what you can fit in some cars. When I had my Camry I used to haul 36" wide doors with the door frames in the back for my brother when he was doing construction, a good size bathroom vanity cabinet and a sink top,and 2-5 1/2 foot long oxygen tanks.
