Mover over Tebow, hello Manning!

Tebow was a college LEGEND. He is an NFL sideshow. He is not a pocket passer in a game with rules designed to protect and benefit a pocket passer. See ya later Timmy. Plus Elway's jealousy of the fan response was getting tiring too.

Silly for picking up Manning and starting him over Tebow?

I'm not sure how anyone that claims to be a Bronco fan can be doing anything other than cartwheels down the hall.

They knew that when they drafted him. If they'd just let the dude play like he knows how to play, he wins games. Heck, why not draft a right guard and try and mold him into a pocket passer...

He'll be successful where ever he goes IMO as long as they let him play like he knows how to play.

Believe me, many many people in Denver and in Colorado are [censored] at this decision. Don't get me wrong, Manning is one of the greatest to ever play the game, but he's way over the hill IMO. The Broncos need to find a long term franchise QB and instead they gave up 96 million for at most, a 4 or 5 year QB that, because of health reasons, will have to be very guarded in how he plays and how the team plays.

You can make a LONG list of qb's that started out bad and developed into great ones. Bradshaw, Elway, and so on were terrible when they first played.

Tebow can learn a lot from Manning. He can use this. I know this kid, he'll make lemonade!

I remember sitting in my uncles basement in Green Bay WI when I was about 15 years old watching the packers play when they first got Brett Favre. My uncle was about to kick his TV over and he said "This Brett Favre guy is horrible; he'll never amount to anything".

There's no way Tebow can stay in Denver as a backup; his style of play and offense is 180 degrees opposite of Manning's.

I also like Tebow, but the Broncos have a better chance at winning a Super Bowl with Manning.
Thats really what it comes down to.

Either way... Tebow is still a rock star.

The Broncos tried that last year. You can't honestly believe that letting Tebow run around like a chicken with its head cut off, while completing 4-5 passes per game will lead to long term success for the Broncos.

"Tom Petty" is a snake. Lied about Tebow saying he was the starter, how good he was...snake. Now the whole team is lying too, saying he was ok, average, blah blah. Players are acting like the owner - snakes.

Sooo, you think Tebow will be a 2nd stringer to Manning? Enlighten me, I dont know spit from Shinola about football. Just that Tebow's prayer show is gaining him popularity. I'll bet you many players give thanks or pray, silently.

Well... IMHO, this is silly to think that Tebow will compete with Manning as QB. Manning is arguably the best QB ever. It all comes down to his health.

Now, if I were Denver I'd keep Tebow and play him at fullback, or just about anywhere he could reasonably fit. You want good exciting people on your team, people who give 110% no matter what the situation. The trade value for Tebow is not good enough... just keep him and turn him into another position player. He could even return kicks...

My Seahawks picked up Matt Flynn. I'm pretty happy about that.

Tebow will help any of the teams he is rumored to be traded to - especially the Jags or Dolphins. I am an old Baltimore Colts fan, so never liked the Indy Colts. Peyton Manning was a great QB, but Denver has traded away a lot of talent the past few weeks and the Broncos play the Saints, Falcons, Ravens, Texans, Patriots and Steelers next year. If Peyton is still standing at Week 17, I'll be surprised.

I hope that Peyton actually works out as good as Elway thinks he will. I believe though that they have just as much of a chance of Peyton being hurt again and then they will be on the hook for his salary like Indy was. No doubt that Peyton is one of the greatest, but I would want to make sure that I had a good backup to be learning from him. Tebow is probably better off out of Denver anyway. Elway wasn't in his corner so it was only a matter of time. Considering that Tebow was thrown to the wolves he did pretty good I thought. Given some time and and some good teaching he can stil be good. I don't really understand all the hate towards him. It isn't like he throws God into everything and doesn't go to the bars and gets into trouble with attacking women. Guess it is too much to ask for a person to like somebody that is just a good guy.

As a life long Denver Broncos fan I am happy that Denver obtained Peyton Manning. There is no question the passing attack should greatly improve, although of course I am concerned about Manning's health issues and his age somewhat. But if everything works out Denver has a chance to go to a Super Bowl or two.

Now I like Tim Tebow very much. Everybody has to agree that he was a game changer for Denver and the Denver Broncos probably never would have won the division last year without him.

But Tebow simply was not working out as a passing quarterback and running quarterbacks really do not make it in the NFL. That is college stuff. And towards the end of the season last year teams were adjusting successfully to defencing Tebow.

I have no idea whether Tebow will ever develop into a great NFL quarterback. Maybe he will and maybe he will not. I think the Broncos decided to go with the known ability of Manning rather than the question mark of Tebow.

Tebow is incredibly popular right now, but you simply cannot tell what will happen in the future. If anything bad came out about Tebow it would tarnish that golden image very quickly. The job of the quarterback in pro football is to be the leader of the offense and to throw the football-not run the football like an option throwing fullback.

Of course if Manning should be injured early in the next NFL season everybody will be saying that Denver should have stayed with Tebow. For that matter Tebow could be injured easily running the football so much. The Broncos are trying to play the best hand that they can. I don't think they can be blamed for that. All we can do is wait and see how things work out. I would love to see the Broncos in another Super Bowl or two. But as a long time fan I remember the losing seasons and the Broncos have already achieved two Super Bowl wins. A long time ago I was hoping merely for a winning season. They have already achieved much more than I thought they would achieve so many years ago. Whatever happens happens.

Well, it would be nice if you somehow could combine the two into one player. Actually I would not mind if Denver kept Tebow as a backup and a guy who could come in for special option plays. And then they could draft a future quarterback in the draft. They have been looking at a couple of college quarterbacks.

But my feeling is that Elway and Fox are not the greatest Tebow fans, and if those two don't want a guy there, he will probably not be there.

Of course Manning has just a few years left so Denver is going to try to win right away. No telling about Tebow. He could be a great quarterback in five years or not even in the NFL in five years. Nobody knows.
