Im thinking on installing one on our 2008 Honda CRV. The only place to install one is against the condenser with those zip ties. Has anyone seen the zip ties wear through the condenser or break due to the heat.

Thanks

Some people place cushions where the transmission cooler meets the A/C condenser. Sometimes the cooler kit even includes those cushions.

Those zip ties through the condenser are no bueno. Stacked plate cooler or tube and fin?

Even with relatively limited access it’s far better for ultimate longevity to fabricate some mounts from bar stock to secure your new cooler.

the straps still saw through the tubes. ruining it

They do make high heat resistance zip tied.
I think the highest I've seen is 300 degress F.

That should in fact be fine, but why would u trust a plastic thing to hold up your atf's cooler?

Try to find one with enough thinkness to fit between consenser and radiator easily. Thats what I did. For me it was a tight fit on my 2000 accord, but I simply removed one screw on radiator fit it, and re screwed the fasterner.

Heres what i meant. You need some sort of custom metal bracket to hold it off the delicate parts.

The first picture is what I used to mount my cooler on my Tacoma. Thanks.
