FTIR of RL 5w40 which had an oxidation value of 129 at the time. This is old (2017).

Notice that peak is much higher than the Motul.

Motul gear competition 75w140 also has a peak maybe even higher than redline 5w40. I think there is definately a correlation in ester% and oxidation total as well as the ester peak on FTIR. Ofcourse I dont know if POE causes higher oxidation than say a diester

Gen1 is still in production? That is interesting. Not sure what is the point there. Maybe just lower price point.
