What is the best Moly additive for Motul 8100 E-Tech 0w40 if i want to lower wear numbers (gussing moly will be a good choice)

And reading around it seems that i DONT want MoS2

Thanks

i did pull another sample (Terry did the 2nd one) and it showed 112 ppm of Fe, now idk if thats right or if something happened when pulling the sample dont know, i have a mag drain plug and maybe the pump i used was close to it and pulled alot of Fe off of that into the bottle

but i just changed the oil and will do an test after 1000-2000 miles to check wear

just wanted to know if adding Molly would help the oil better and if so which one should I use

Well, I would seriously doubt that Terry would recommend adding moly to the oil. Typically, he will simply recommend a better matched lube for the engine. I would follow his recommendations since you are paying him. You shouldn't have to be guessing on this. I guess I'm confused why you are asking us (amateurs) if you can dump in moly when you have Terry.

Why do you think you have the knowledge and ability to make an oil better? I don't understand this with people. Chemists spend hours a day properly balancing/testing oils and you think you can just "add molly" to Motul and make it better? LOL. Wow. Not trying to be a d$ck but just use another brand or hire Terry to get his opinion.

i have gotten the help of him, i want to try to stick w/ a vw 502 oil, and this is one of the better ones i have used...if i cant really find anything i will try his new RLI formula

thanks for the input..

Some of these German cars are ridiculous but nevertheless your idea about using RLI is a good one. How about Amsoil 5w-40?
