Motul 300V: Green vs Brown?

Hello. First post here.

I've been using Motul 300V 5W40 in various cars over the past few years.

I used to get it from a motorcycle shop. It came in 1L plastic bottles and was a bright green color.

I recently stocked up with a couple of cases, and it came in 2L metal cans and was a brownish color.

I did a search and didn't turn anything up, but does anyone know if Motul changed their oil in the last couple of years?

Motul have recently completely updated there 300v range and moved around and dropped some of the other ranges. The new 300v does not (petrol range anyways) come in metal cans anymore, they are plastic bottles.

I know how you can get back into The Green...but it won't be made by Motul

PS I probably should say, "I know how you might get back into The Green." (The Elves aren't revealing if they have a continuing production agreement with Castrol for GC.)

Ah. But a few years ago I got it in plastic bottles.

Details on what they changed? Anything important, or was it a marketing thing?

New motul 300v 5w30 is light brown colour.We dont have 300v 5w-40 in Australia.Older 300v's were in metal containres and the new range in plastic containers.
5w-40 completely different to other 300v's dont know why but thats what they say also can not mix with other 300v grades.
