Motorguard M100 TP rolled changed out with 27,000 miles on it. It's in a 2009 Ford F350 with a Detroit 4-53T/Ford 5R110. I found no material or metal on the magnet, so another TP roll went in. I've topped the fluid up with one quart and run another 10,000 miles before I change another roll. Happy 5R110.

The 4.5" Kirkland brand toilet paper is the correct length. I add an old core as an insert for this filter and have modified the others with sleeves.
How does this work without breaking down? And this is actual tp, correct? Not missing anything.

Yes it's tp and no it doesn't break down. I've used it for diesel, coolant, engine oil and transmission filtering. No issues to speak of, just replace the roll when it blocks up.:)

Wow, that is really awesome. Did you come up on your own or see it somewhere? Cool idea

John Frantz, the inventor of the Frantz oil filter that we know today, first made a canister to fit a roll of toilet paper, this canister was inserted into the factory oil bypass filter that were mounted to many vehicles over 70 years ago, this was in the 1950's. I don't think A310 is that old, lol.

I found the Frantz and MotorGuard filters after some research and decided to try them. Lost track of the miles with no oil changes, but on my 2000 Ford Excursion with the V10 Triton it was around 31,000 miles without any oil changes and on my Dodge with the Cummins 55,000 miles. I still own the Ford, but the Dodge was wrecked with over 55,000 miles and no oil changes.:)

Where do you find TP rolls that actually fit properly in the motorguard housing?
In the 60s all we had was soft 2 ply and loose wound 1 ply. I like to use 1 ply Great Value 1000 from Walmart or Scott 1000. The only advantage to the Great Value is it is smaller and less rounds need to be removed. With the Motor Guard you push the roll down hard against the bottom and put on the lid. The best thing to use in a Frantz is the Frantz paper. The Australian Jackmaster Classic is a nice filter. It needs a firm paper such as the Jackmaster paper or other firm paper. I checked a Gulf Coast junior paper. It was high quality 2 ply from a janitorial supply. Dont force a over size roll in.
