Motorcraft gear oil in 5th gen 4runner.

Rockauto has Motorcraft XY75W85QL 75W-85 and Motorcraft XY75WQL 75W. Are they compatible for the transfer case and differential case in toyota trucks?

XY-75W-QL would not be right for the application. The XY-75W85-QL is what you are looking for as long as the specs jive.

The 75W from Motorcraft isn't for transfer cases. It is used on specific RDUs (Rear Drive Units).

I have 75W oil in my 6-speed manual Camry/Scion transmission per owner's manual. Yes, it's not a truck though.

There is a big difference b/w 75W and 75W85 oils. The first one is much thinner like motor oil SAE 20 grade and the second one is like SAE 30.
