Decided to change the oil on my 75 LTD 400m. Approximately 2200 miles on this oil. It was changed last time in July of 2020. The oil was very pitch black and smelled heavy of gasoline. I don't see a whole lot of dirt though so I guess that's some good news. Filter looks good.

Fl1a motorcraft Kendall GT1 20w50 liqutec with boosted zinc. Little over kill for it but what ever. It's what I had.

Looks good to me. Have taken many of these off and replaced with a new one a few times over the years

If you're smelling gas in the oil, you might want to verify the choke is adjusted and opening correctly.

Yes, I leaned the choke out all the way. It was closed to tight. I've noticed some mournings it would have a slobby idle from running to rich.
