2008 Trailblazer SS, need motor mounts. I want to go OEM but unfortunately, its no longer available, nor AcDelco. Choices are, Anchor, Westar, DEA/Marmon Ride Control, for factory rubber options. Or I can do Poly aftermarket mounts. I have read of the bad quality of rubber motor mounts and I have read about how Poly transfer more vibration, etc to the cab of the SUV. I have to also say that my SS has a LS3 w/Hot cam, headers and other bolt on stuff. So remember that when suggesting an mount.

Poly mounts are stiffer but it's not much more additional vibration at idle on a v8 and it didn't bother me on my 4 cyl which had more. At speed it goes away. If you floor it a lot poly mounts would last a lot longer.

Your concern is well merited. I've had a lot of problems with poorly made third world polymers the last couple years. From shock absorber seals to driveline center bearing mounts. The challenge is finding what works and what doesn't. Good luck.

I haven’t visited the trailvoy.com site since selling my Trailblazer, but it had a lot of good info and a separate section for SS, IIRC.

Thanks for the replies.
Javier, I just heard different things and since the TBSS is going on 17 years not much is spoken about them these days. It does have a LS3 so i would venture to say it will get it share of WOT runs.

Nascar, I share your same feelings. Lots of garbage out there these days unless its OEM, even they have gone down in quality, or aftermarket performance parts.

kjkasch, I have looked over on there and I am a member on tbssowners, but that site is dead. Not many people are active online that own a TBSS, its no longer a cool SUV, LOL.
